Donato was born in 1730 in Italy, the son of Carmine DiCecco and Maria Nicola DeSuco.

His wife was Donata DeToro, who he married in ABT 1753. The place has not been found. Their four known children were Carmine (1755-?), Cassandra (c1760-?), Domenico (c1760-?) and Giusto (c1760-?).
