Donato was born in 1837 in Italy, the son of Fedele DiCecco and Marie Concetta DiMatteo.
He had two marriages/partners. His first wife was Maria Dominica Gargarelta, who he married in ABT 1861. The place has not been found. Their three known children were Canzano (1862-?), Fedele (1865-?) and Concetta (1869-?).
His second wife was Salia Medoro, who he married in ABT 1870. The place has not been found. Their six known children were Ogata (1871-?), Concetta (1873-?), Cancella (1875-?), Fedele (1880-?), Giovina (1882-?) and Nicola (1887-?).
