Carmine was born in 1827 in Paglieta, Chieti, Italy, the son of Guisto DiCecco and Maria Antonia Scartozza.

His wife was Concetta Virtie, who he married in ABT 1852. The place has not been found. Their five known children were Guisto (1856-?), Tito (1859-?), Gaetano (1860-?), Vitto Emannuele (1863-?) and Giuseppe (1865-?).
