His wife was Maddalena Ciccarelli, who he married in 13 MAY 1869 in Fagnano Alto, L'Aquila, Italy. Their five known children were Annavilia (1870-1877), Giovanni (c1871-1877), Giovanni (1873-?), Annavilia (1877-1877) and Giovanni (1881-?).
