Ferdinando was born about 1847 in Campana, the son of Cesidio Francesco Antonio Bergantini and Leonilda Liberatore.
His wife was Teresa Ortenzi. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their six known children were Cesidio (1871-1871), Cesidio (1874-1874), Leonilda (1875-?), Francesca (1878-?), Rosa (1882-?) and Domenico (1884-?).
