Venanzo was born about 1787 in Pratola Peligna, L'Aquila, Italy, the son of Giuseppe Pizzoferrato but his mother is unknown.

He had two marriages/partners. His first wife was Rocca d'Amato, who he married in ABT 1804. The place has not been found. Their four known children were Maria Giacinta (c1805-?), Maria Francesca (1809-?), Maria Giuseppa (1813-?) and Angela Maria (1817-1828).

His second wife was Maria Vincenza deStephanis, who he married in ABT 1814. The place has not been found. Their only known child was Angela Maria Barbara (1815-1815).
