Giovanni was born about 1774 in Pratola Peligna, L'Aquila, Italy, the son of Carmine diLoreto but his mother is unknown.

His wife was Anna Domenica Presutti, who he married in ABT 1806. The place has not been found. Their four known children were Venanzo Antonio (c1808-?), Carmine (1813-?), Anna Carmina (1816-?) and Maria Onorata (1819-?).
