Maddalena was born about 1779 in Pratola Peligna, L'Aquila, Italy, the daughter of Antonio DeStephanis and Rosa Cianfaglione.
She had two marriages/partners. Her first husband was Felice Colantonio, who she married in ABT 1799. The place has not been found. Their six known children were Giovanna (c1800-?), Pelino (c1805-?), Angela Teresa (1811-?), Rosalia Liberata (1815-1818), Panfilo (1819-1819) and Rosalia (1822-?).
Her second husband was Giacomo Antonio Tedeschi. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their only known child was Venanzio (c1817-1863).
