Nicola was born about 1759 in Lettopalena, Chieti, Italy, the son of Giuseppe D'Accione but his mother is unknown.

His wife was Maria Palmieri, who he married in ABT 1777. The place has not been found. Their two known children were Giovanni (c1781-1823) and Crescenza Benedetta (c1785-1819).
