Alicandro was born about 1764 in Pizzoferrato, Chieti, Abruzzo, Italy, the son of Ferdinando Casciato and Angela Battista.
His wife was Rosaria DiMatteo. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their five known children were Domenico (1791-1814), Ferdinanco (1809-1809), Francesco (1810-?), Vincenzo (-1830) and Carmina N (c1815-?).
