James Bruno, 86 of West Newton, died Aug. 21, 2007, at Select Specialty Hospital, Latrobe. He was born March 13, 1921, in Amantea, Italy, a son of the late Ignazio and Frances Suriano Bruno.
Prior too retirement, he was employed at Banning Mine.
Having served in the U.S. Army Air Force, he was a veteran of World War II.
He was a member of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, West Newton.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Mary ( Palmieri ) Bruno in 1984.
He is survived by a sister, Catherine Bruno of Italy; a brother, Mario Bruno of Italy; and several nieces and nephews.
His wife was Mary Muscente's sister, she lived in Yukon, Pa. Somehow they are related to me, But I don't know how.
