Berardino was born about 1746 in Castello, the son of Domenico Seri and Laura Antonia Scarsella.

His wife was Rosaria Ricci. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their four known children were Giambattista (c1777-1850), Rosa (c1780-1846), Rosa Santa_ (1788-?) and Domenico Antonio (1795-1867).
