Notes from conversations with Angiolina Rossi the summer of 1998
(the owner of the tabacco shop in Torricella Peligna, relative
of those at Contrada Aspromonte and childhood resident of
Contrada Aspromonte): Angiolina said Giuseppe Aspromonte and
Domenica Aspromonte had 9 children and one died in the war.
Since Augusto (Augustino) is the only one who did not have
children, I assume it was him. Giuseppe was short. He would
frequently visit our great-grandfather, Giosia, who was very
tall.

Dan... I recieved your email and you want more information about
my family.... i dont know much about my grandmother..i know she
died in 1925, and my grandfather he died in 1958 like you said,
he was a very good man he never remarried again after he lost
his wife....i know he went to the 1st world war, and he escaped
from the front he walked 3 months to get home, and to live he
would eat the skin of leather shoes.....he lived another 43
years after that and he was a healthy man, and very good hunter
and in fact everyone in the family was great hunters.and me and
my brother in canada still hunt today.
