Giovanna was born about 1779 in Pratola Peligna, L'Aquila, Italy, the daughter of unknown parents.
Her husband was Giuseppe Lonardo Petrella, who she married in ABT 1800. The place has not been found. Their five known children were Maria (c1800-?), Rocco (c1811-1811), Liberata Antonia (1813-1814), Virgilia (1815-1816) and Domenico Antonio (1819-1820).
