Giovanni was born about 1847 in Villa Sant'Angelo, L'Aquila, Italy, the son of Paolo Pezzuti and Mariantonia Tarossi.
His wife was Maria Domenica Carmela Leonardis, who he married in ABT 1872. The place has not been found. Their nine known children were Antonio (1876-?), Tommaso (1878-?), Marianna (1880-?), Angelo (1883-?), Paolo (1886-1886), Mariantonia (1887-?), Paolo (1889-?), Pierina (1892-1894) and Assunta (1895-?).
