Ferdinando was born about 1762 in San Demetrio, the son of Demetrio Ortenzi and Caterina Brigida Visca.

He died on 17 OCT 1841 in San Demetrio.

His wife was Concetta DiLoreto. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their six known children were Maria Maddalena (1795-1873), Rocco (c1796-1861), Domenico Antonio (1800-1859), Elisabetta (c1808-1810), Eusanio Francesco Antonio (1811-?) and Giancaterino (c1812-1887).
