Nicola was born on 27 AUG 1817 in Pratola Peligna, L'Aquila, Italy, the son of Salvatore Micale and Maddalena Antolini.
His wife was Gaetana Santacroce, who he married on ABT 1850. The place has not been found. Their four known children were Sabetta (c1853-1863), Domenico (1858-?), Michele (1858-?) and Giuseppa (1862-?).
