Vincenzo was born about 1779 in Lettopalena, Chieti, Italy, the son of Donato Merlini and Maria Giuseppa Verna.

He died after 1873. The place is not known.

He had two marriages/partners. His first wife was Maria D'Accione, who he married in ABT 1805 in Lettopalena, Chieti, Italy. Their five known children were Fiorinto (c1808-1812), Teodoro (c1809-1812), Giulio Gennaro (1810-?), Maria Giuseppa (1811-1812) and Elena Vittoria (1813-1817).

His second wife was Maria Nicola Carmina Rosa Tamburrino, who he married on 28 JUL 1838. The place has not been found. Their three known children were Giuseppe Donato (1839-?), Giovanni (c1841-?) and Tomaso Emanuele (1846-?).
