Angelo was born about 1857 in Guardiagrele, Chieti, Italy, the son of Antonio Massacesi and Maria Candelari.
He had two marriages/partners. His first wife was Anna Nina Isidoro, who he married in ABT 1885. The place has not been found. Their two known children were Odoardo (1889-?) and Elvira (1890-?).
His second wife was Annamaria Tomassi, who he married in 3 JUL 1893 in Fagnano Alto, L'Aquila, Italy. They had no known children.
