Lodovico was born about 1823 in Ripa, the son of Rocco Iacobone and Marianna Legge.
His wife was Maddalena Mucciante. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their nine known children were Maria Giovanna (1849-1850), Felice (1851-1880), Elisabetta (1853-?), Vergilia (1856-?), Pietro (1859-1859), Pietro (1860-?), Domenica (1863-?), Maria (1866-1872) and Rosa (1869-?).
