Giovanni was born about 1867 in Villa Sant'angelo, the son of Pietrangelo Franci and Caterina Marimpietro.
His wife was Vincenza Amalinda Isabella Barone, who he married on 18 MAY 1899 in Civitella Casanova, L'Aquila, Italy. Their two known children were Angelo Caterino Mario (1901-?) and Pasquale Mario Leonida (1903-?).
