Carolina was born on 30 NOV 1832 in Lettopalena, Chieti, Italy, the daughter of Angelo Luigi Disanto and Santa Maria Celeste Ranieri.

She had two marriages/partners. Her first husband was Giustino Onofrio Cavicchia, who she married on 17 AUG 1856. The place has not been found. Their only known child was Maria Domenica (1857-?).

Her second husband was Vincenzo Rossetti, who she married in ABT 1860 in Lettopalena, Chieti, Italy. Their five known children were Raffaele (1863-1863), Raffaele (1864-?), Michele (1867-?), Diamante (1870-1950) and Domenico (1874-?).
