Domenico was born about 1777 in Pratola Peligna, L'Aquila, Italy, the son of Arcangelo DiLoreto and Maria Rosa Pizzoferrato.

His wife was Lucia DiBenedetto, who he married in ABT 1810. The place has not been found. Their seven known children were Rocco (c1811-1813), Gaetano (c1813-1816), Maria Gaetana (1813-?), Vincenzo (1815-?), Anna Rosa (1818-1822), Maria Gaetana (1821-1825) and Rosa (1824-?).
