Venanzo was born about 1779 in Pratola Peligna, L'Aquila, Italy, the son of Giuseppe diCristofaro but his mother is unknown.

His wife was Maria Petrella, who he married in ABT 1800. The place has not been found. Their seven known children were Nunzia Rosa (c1802-?), Maria Loreta (c1810-?), Maria Rosaria (c1810-?), Maria Luigia (c1811-1812), Rocca Antonia (1812-1812), Maria Luisa Candelora (1815-1815) and Maria Loreta (1816-1816).
