Placentina was born about 1760 in Pratola Peligna, L'Aquila, Italy, the daughter of Angelo DeStephanis but her mother is unknown.
Her husband was Luigi d'Angelo. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their five known children were Concezio (c1788-?), Francesco (c1790-?), Pietro (c1790-?), Cristina (c1795-?) and Giacinto (c1795-1824).
