Ferdinando was born about 1768 in Villa Sant'angelo, the son of Franco DeMatteis and Caterina Corona.

He died on 15 NOV 1842 in Villa Sant'angelo.

His wife was Saveria Notareschi. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their seven known children were Angelmaria (c1796-1847), Loreta (c1799-1857), Rosa (c1799-1871), Angelico (1800-1876), Franco (c1807-1888), Matilde (c1808-1878) and Giovanna (1817-?).
