Caterina was born about 1864 in Villa Sant'angelo, the daughter of Giandomenico DeMatteis and Carmela Lucantonio.

She died in 1918 in Villa Sant'angelo.

Her husband was Carlo D'Andrea, who she married on 2 NOV 1892 in Sant'Eusanio Forconese, L'Aquila, Italy. Their six known children were Oreste Ernesto (1893-1962), Antonino (1895-1975), Guido (1897-c1911), Antonina (1899-1983), Isolina (1901-1985) and Emidio Serafino (1904-1960).
