Domenico was born about 1836 in Tusillo, L'Aquila, Italy, the son of Giampietro Corona but his mother is unknown.
His wife was Rosa Timei. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their five known children were Elvira Anna (1866-1940), Elisa (1869-?), Luigi Alessandro Carmine (1871-?), Giuseppina (1873-1900) and Vincenzo (1877-1877).
