His second wife was Maria Rosa Rosa, who he married on 26 MAY 1844 in San Demetrio, L'Aquila, Italy. Their nine known children were Rosalia (1845-1849), Santa_ (1846-?), Angela Caterina (1849-?), Antonio (1851-1853), Natale (1853-?), Mariano Sabatino (1856-?), Lorenzo (1858-?), Pietro (1861-?) and Annunziata (1862-?).
