Giovanni was born in 1790 in Pescasseroli, L'Aquila, Abruzzo, Italy, the son of Pasqua (Eudrasia) DiGialluca and Nicola Carmine Rossi.
His wife was Maria Rosaria DelPrincipe. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their only known child was Libora Leonarda (Lionarda Liboria) (1832-?).
