Ludovico was born about 1773 in Lettopalena, Chieti, Italy, the son of Nicola Cavicchia and Maria Prudenza DiPaolo.
His wife was Maria Falcocchio, who he married in ABT 1803. The place has not been found. Their five known children were Giocco (c1804-1830), Nicola (c1806-1830), Giovanni Lorenzo (1811-<1864), Croce Domenica (1813-?) and Pasqua Antonia (c1816-1845).
