Emidio was born about 1776 in Pratola Peligna, L'Aquila, Italy, the son of Michele Carducci and Maria d'Alfonso.
His wife was Maria Vincenza Presutti. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their four known children were Angiola (c1800-?), Domenico Antonio (c1812-1842), Giovanni (1816-1818) and Maria Giovanna (1819-1819).
