Gerolamo was born on 5 MAR 1826 in Palmi, the son of Domenico Borgese and Carmina Bagala.
He had two marriages/partners. His first wife was Letteria Barone, who he married on 11 FEB 1849 in Palmi, Reggio Calabria, Italy. Their three known children were Carmela (c1850-?), Giuseppe (c1850-?) and Domenico (1850-1910).
His second wife was Fortunata Riotto, who he married in ABT 1850. The place has not been found. They had no known children.
