Leonardo was born about 1770 in Pratola Peligna, L'Aquila, Italy, the son of unknown parents.
His wife was Giovanna Lucente, who he married in ABT 1797. The place has not been found. Their three known children were Pietro Celestino (c1801-1822), Carlo Antonio (c1803-?) and Domenico (c1808-?).
