Stefano was born about 1754 in Pratola Peligna, L'Aquila, Italy, the son of unknown parents.
His wife was Concezia Carducci. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their four known children were Angiola (c1790-1829), Maria Teresa (c1794-?), Domenico Antonio (c1795-?) and Pietro Paolo (c1801-?).
