Generoso was born about 1777 in Pratola Peligna, L'Aquila, Italy, the son of unknown parents.
His wife was Angiola Petrella, who he married in ABT 1810. The place has not been found. Their seven known children were Maria Carmina (1813-?), Andrea Angelo Sante (1815-?), Venanzo (1819-?), Giuseppe Antonio (1821-?), Pasqua Rosa (1824-?), Liberato Antonio (1829-?) and Domenico Antonio (1832-1832).
