Michele was born about 1767 in Pratola Peligna, L'Aquila, Italy, the son of unknown parents.

His wife was Nunzia Santacroce, who he married in ABT 1787. The place has not been found. Their three known children were Angiola (c1790-?), Domenico Antonio (c1796-?) and Pietro Celestino (c1798-?).
