Luigi was born about 1773 in Pratola Peligna, L'Aquila, Italy, the son of unknown parents.

His wife was Maria Vincenza Pellegrina d'Andrea, who he married in ABT 1800. The place has not been found. Their four known children were Maria Nicola (c1803-1863), Anna Rosa (c1805-?), Pietro (c1810-1812) and Donato Antonio (1812-?).
