Donato was born about 1730 in Pratola Peligna, L'Aquila, Italy, the son of unknown parents.
His wife was Anna DeDominicis, who he married in ABT 1749. The place has not been found. Their four known children were Maria Carmina (c1750-1810), Agostino (c1759-1843), Domenico (c1769-1815) and Venanzo (c1771-1841).
