Giacomo was born about 1775 in Pratola Peligna, L'Aquila, Italy, the son of unknown parents.
His wife was Maria Antonia d'Alessandro, who he married in ABT 1798. The place has not been found. Their seven known children were Angela Irene (c1794-1826), Maria Maddalena (c1800-?), Pasquale (c1808-1812), Pasquale Liberato Antonio (1812-?), Carmine Antonio (1816-1817), Felice Antonio (1819-?) and Domenico Antonio (1823-?).
