Rocco was born about 1764 in Pratola Peligna, L'Aquila, Italy, the son of unknown parents.
His wife was Rosa Buccilli. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their five known children were Maria Gaetana (c1795-?), Nunzio (c1797-1823), Maria Vincenza (c1799-?), Domenico Antonio (1812-1813) and Anna Francesca (1815-1815).
