Gennaro was born about 1765 in Pratola Peligna, L'Aquila, Italy, the son of unknown parents.
His wife was Maria Nicola d'Angelo, who he married in ABT 1787. The place has not been found. Their five known children were Pietro (c1788-1811), Angela Maria (c1792-?), Venanzo (c1792-?), Maria Luigia (c1794-?) and Domenico Antonio (c1805-?).
