Domenico was born about 1777 in Pratola Peligna, L'Aquila, Italy, the son of unknown parents.
His wife was Barbara Cavallaro. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their six known children were Vincenzo (c1809-1812), Francesco Antonio (c1810-1826), Maria Concezia (1813-?), Rosalia (1816-?), Anna Carmela (1819-?) and Anna Cristina (1822-?).
