Gaetano was born about 1809 in Pratola Peligna, L'Aquila, Italy, the son of unknown parents.
His wife was Amalia DiBacco, who he married in ABT 1840. The place has not been found. Their three known children were Angela Maria (1844-?), Elvira Teresa Gaetana Maria (1858-?) and Bianca Amalia (1863-?).
